Grand Avenue Club’s first floor houses our foyer, administrative offices, and Business & Retail Management Unit.  In our foyer all members, staff, volunteers, and visitors are greeted and then screened via COVID-19 preventive measures by a team of GAC colleagues throughout the day.

The Business and Retail Management Unit runs GAC’s upscale resale shop, Water St. Boutique, which is located in our basement and open to the community from Monday to Friday.  Working together, members and staff receive donations of used but still stylish clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and decorative home items and prepares them for sale, researches and sets the prices for the items, runs the shop, handles inventory and sales, and does the accounting associated with the shop.  All revenue generated by the shop goes to GAC’s operating expenses.

The first floor is also home to our Executive Director, Associate Director, Business Manager, and Office Administrator. Financial management, record keeping, and the execution of fund development plans happen on this floor.
