Retail Management Unit
The Retail Management Unit (RMU) runs Grand Avenue Club’s upscale resale shop, Water St. Boutique (WSB), located in our lower level.
The RMU is operated by members and staff on the first floor, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, whereas the WSB is open to the public, Tuesday – Friday, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
The money raised by all sales is used exclusively to support the programs of Grand Avenue Club.
Working together, members and staff receive donations of stylish second-hand clothing, shoes, handbags, and jewelry.
In the unit, members prepare these items for sale by researching and inventorying the garments, and setting the sale prices.
In the boutique, members run the shop, style mannequins, and maintain the circulation of stock throughout the year.
The unit creates a public newsletter of curated outfits, and provides members in need with attire for interviews and special events.
We accept gently used men’s and women’s upscale apparel and accessories, including hats, scarves, jewelry, ties, shoes, and boots.
Donations to WSB are tax deductible; donation acknowledgement forms are available.
Your donation may be dropped off 210 E Michigan St, between 10:00 am & 3:30 pm, Tuesday – Friday, or by appointment.
